More Power for Hills and Highways

The upgraded bZ4X delivers meaningful performance improvements across the range. The front-wheel drive model now produces 165kW, up from 150kW. The all-wheel drive variant sees an even more significant jump, rising from 160kW to 252kW. That 92kW increase translates to real-world improvements, with the AWD model now reaching 0-100km/h in just 5.1 seconds.

For anyone navigating the hills regularly, that extra power makes a genuine difference when climbing gradients or merging onto the highway.

Extended Range for Everyday Life

Range has been one of the biggest considerations for anyone thinking about an electric vehicle. The upgraded bZ4X features a new, larger 74.7kWh battery pack. The 2WD model now offers up to 591km of driving range, up from the previous 411km.

To put that in perspective, that's enough range to drive from Kalamunda to Margaret River and back without needing to stop for a charge. For daily commutes, school runs, and weekend trips, the upgraded bZ4X removes the range anxiety that's held some people back from considering an EV.

Faster Charging, Less Waiting

Charging speed matters, and Toyota has made improvements here too. Maximum AC charging speed has doubled from 11kW to 22kW. For most owners, that means plugging in when you get home and waking up to a full charge. DC fast charging times have also improved thanks to better battery thermal management.

A Refined Cabin Experience

Inside, a new 14-inch touchscreen replaces the previous 12.3-inch unit, offering a more intuitive interface. New standard features include paddle shifters, two wireless phone chargers, a heated steering wheel, and a hands-free power tailgate.

Safety has also been upgraded with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit assist, and a surround-view camera now standard across the range.

Updated Styling

The exterior has been refreshed with Toyota's hammerhead design language at the front, gloss black accents, and new alloy wheels. The 2WD model wears 18-inch alloys while the AWD gets 20-inch wheels. It's a more refined look that reflects the premium positioning of the vehicle.

Improved Towing Capacity

For those who need to tow, the AWD model's towing capacity has doubled to 1,500kg. That opens up possibilities for small trailers, campers, or boat tinnies that weren't practical with the previous model.

What This Means for You

If you've been curious about electric vehicles but weren't quite sure whether one would suit your lifestyle, these upgrades are worth a closer look. The improved range and performance make the bZ4X a practical option for families, commuters, and anyone looking to reduce their running costs.
