This next-generation C-HR has been redesigned from the ground up on Toyota’s dedicated e-TNGA electric vehicle platform. The result is a compact SUV that’s sleek, quiet, and packed with advanced technology, while still offering the practicality and character that Hills drivers love.
“The all-electric C-HR will be perfect for customers looking for a stylish urban SUV with high levels of technology and serene yet engaging driving characteristics,” said Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations, Sean Hanley.
The C-HR BEV marks another important milestone in Toyota’s electrification journey. It will arrive just after the plug-in hybrid RAV4 in 2026, giving Australian drivers more ways to experience Toyota’s proven hybrid and electric technology.
At Kalamunda Toyota, we’re proud to bring customers the very best of Toyota’s innovation. From hybrid to plug-in hybrid and now battery-electric, you’ll have more options to suit your lifestyle, driving habits, and the unique terrain of the Perth Hills.
Under the bonnet (or rather, under the floor) sits a 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery powering a 165kW front-mounted electric motor that produces 269Nm of torque.
Driving Range:Over 500km on a single charge²
Fast Charging:10-80% in around 30 minutes¹
AC Charging:Up to 22kW, ideal for home charging overnight
Battery pre-conditioning ensures quick and reliable charging in all weather conditions.
The all-electric C-HR takes its bold design cues from Toyota’s Hammerhead concept, featuring sharp LED headlights, refined aerodynamics, and a sleek silhouette. The larger body and wheelbase bring more interior room and comfort, offering 416 litres of cargo space and generous head and legroom.
Inside, it feels every bit as modern as it looks:
Quiet, smooth, and efficient, the C-HR BEV is perfect for everyday Hills driving. Whether you’re running local errands, heading into the city, or planning a weekend getaway, it delivers the right mix of practicality, performance, and low running costs. Toyota’s suspension and steering tuning ensure the C-HR remains agile on winding roads, while the near-silent electric motor adds a calm, refined feel behind the wheel.
The all-electric Toyota C-HR is expected to arrive at Kalamunda Toyota in mid-2027. Details on pricing and grades will be shared closer to launch, but one thing is certain, the future of small SUVs is looking bright.
