In tough situations, just hit the button to engage intelligent manual transmission (i-MT). It then maintains optimal revs to help you change gears smoothly and help avoid stalling. (Standard on SR5 and Rugged X turbo diesel manual models)
Drive with confidence
To help you tow with confidence, every HiLux has Trailer Sway Control to help limit the movement of your trailer if it begins to sway in adverse conditions. Every HiLux has Hill-start Assist Control[B4] to help you avoid rollback on steep inclines. Selected models also have Downhill Assist Control[B4] for low speed control when descending slopes.
