Fill up the car! WA border restrictions are easing: where you can and can’t go.

There has been so much information this past month from the government about what we can and can’t do we know it is overwhelming. We are all itching to get out and about, one thing we do know is that the easing of the regional borders in WA is something everyone is reading up on.

As of the 29th of May 2020 the restrictions are being lifted and the new regional boundaries will allow:

As of the 29.05.20 WA regional borders have opened up even more! Excluding the Kimberley region, we are able to travel all the way up to Exmouth! In line with that advice, Western Australia’s hard border with the rest of the country will remain in place, and will likely be the final restriction lifted.

That means that travel will be permitted between the Pilbara, Gascoyne, North-West, Goldfields-Esperance, Wheatbelt, Great Southern, South West, Peel and Perth.

As we are sure you are aware, there is a long weekend coming up! Western Australia Day long weekend is Monday 1 June. So for those of us in Perth looking for some inspiration on where to go, these are our top picks:

Esperance is first on our list, if you have never been, we highly recommend! If you love to surf, beaches and exploring this is your place. Voted to have the best beaches in the world, Esperance is a place you have to go check out. You can even camp on their pristine beaches. It is a long drive from Perth but it is well worth it, click here to view the must do’s in Esperance.

Chasing the surf and the beautiful coast but don’t want to drive all the way to Esperance? Head to Albany. It is just under 5 hours from Perth so it will really feel like you are getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Click here to read more about what you can get up to in Albany.

Wanting a camping trip? Pack the car up and head to Jurien Bay. Jurien Bay is a coastal town in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Click here to see where you can camp.

Wanting to head south of Perth to the wine region? Check out Augusta or Yallingup. Airbnb are now taking bookings. Get in quick before they book out!

Does your car need some attention?

A friendly reminder, make sure your vehicle has been serviced. If it has been left in the garage this  month, the last thing you want is to finally be allowed to hit the road, pack up the car and get half way there for something to go wrong. Our service department is open and ready to service your vehicle. We service all makes & models, ask us about express maintenance, or we can even come to you!

As winter weather is approaching make sure your tyres have been checked and are in good condition before you set off.
