Backyard Heroes on a Big Mission: Kalamunda Locals Take on the Shitbox Rally

Tell ’Em He’s Dreamin’ — Our Locals Taking on the Shitbox Rally for Cancer Research

At Kalamunda Toyota, we believe in backing our locals, whether they’re around the corner or crossing the country. And this spring, one community team is hitting the road in the most unforgettable way.

We’re proud to sponsor Tell ’Em He’s Dreamin’, a Kalamunda-based duo taking part in the Spring 2025 Shitbox Rally. It’s an epic, offbeat road trip where participants drive a car worth less than $1,500 across thousands of kilometres of Aussie outback, all in the name of raising money for the Cancer Council.

Their vehicle of choice? A 1987 Toyota Camry. She may not have the bells and whistles, but she’s got heart and Toyota reliability on her side.

From Perth to Townsville, this Camry will tackle remote bush tracks, dusty roads, and wild Aussie weather. There are no 4WDs allowed, no frills, and definitely no guarantees—just grit, humour, and a whole lot of community spirit.

It’s about more than just making it to the finish line. It’s about raising funds for life-saving cancer research, honouring loved ones, and showing what’s possible when locals get behind each other.

We’re honoured to be part of their journey, and we invite you to support them too.

At Kalamunda Toyota, we’ve always believed that community comes first, and the Shitbox Rally is a powerful example of what locals can achieve when they rally behind a cause.

We’re proud to support Tell ’Em He’s Dreamin’ as they take on this challenge, not just for the adventure, but to raise vital funds for cancer research. It’s grassroots action with real impact, and we’re honoured to be part of it.
